Fundación Diagrama has launched the 1st Call of Best Practices for Promoting Active and Healthy Aging in Rural Areas. Its goal is to select and draw attention to programmes and projects developed in rural areas that incorporate innovative and successful approaches, methods, and work techniques in response to new challenges surrounding active and healthy ageing. The call is open to any organisation from the Third Sector of Social Action from Spain, the United Kingdom, Iceland and Norway.
In this way, Fundación Diagrama seeks to promote idea generation, exchange of best practices, and knowledge learning between entities that work in this field. Likewise, it aims to create dialogue and synergies between participating organisations that will contribute towards generating new joint initiatives.
The deadline for the presentation of best practices begins today and ends on the 6th June 2025. The selected projects will be included in a manual of best practices and will be presented in a dedicated event that will take place on the 1st October 2025 in Caudete (Spain), coinciding with The International Day of Older Persons.
This call is one of the activities outlined in the Programme for the Promotion of Active and Healthy Ageing: A Comparative Study of the Actions of the Third Sector for Social Action in Spain and Third Countries in Rural Areas, financed by the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and 2030 Agenda, within their call for subsidies for social interest projects.
